On the mend with son and family. Started email communication. So far so good... Used

 My Ai to formulate first email. Didn't want anything to be worded wrong. It's been 4 years since I've seen the grandkids. Just can't take it anymore.

Been out of hospital since wed.

 Had to have emergency surgery. Hip replacement. Was doing A.M. walk and fell whilst trying to jump on embankment, out of the way of vehicle coming from behind. Never had so many drugs in my life. Gave me fentanyl AND ketamine in ambulance. Ketamine is now in my records as being allergic to because it made me freak out to the 8th degree... In hospital they gave me whatever pain killer , different each med pass, all nice. None I'd ever heard of.  For fun may post pic of surgery wound which is just taped together. 

My youngest sister gave me a retirement present.. A guide to foraging north american mushrooms.

 I guess the big prizes are Lions Mane and the Indian Ghost Pipe. So I guess I'm looking for those two mushrooms for her, as she is a serious tincturer! In the meanwhile my first day into it, I can identify a few fungi that pop up right in my back yard:

Turned mattress last night, woke without back pain. Wth? Is it the cortisone? I had to take the opportunity

 To do a tiny tiny bit of raking. Such perfect weather. Time for lunch ...arugula  & avocado salad. 

Start receiving SS and medicare this july. Not really enough to live on.

WHEN DIDDY GOT TO PRISON

The yearly sister/family reunion came and went without a glitch and i got bit by a bat..

picking up sticks, twigs, leafy branches off of the already slippery stones in front of my place I suddenly felt a sharp stinging on one finger and low and behold I was in an eye lock with a bat, flat on it's back! Ran inside to get phone and when I got back out there, it was gone. And no, I didn't go get a shot. I'm old. If I die, I die. luckily I didn't go into convulsions. My ex brother-in-law's nephew died in Texas at the age of 10 or 11 after a bat scratched him. I think that happened in the late 90's. He was an only child. Was in a coma for 3 days before he passed. 

Well I'm at work so I better get to it.
